Antonella Consiglio
Director of the laboratory of Stem Cells and Neuroplasticity, Institute of Biomedicine, Universidad de Barcelona
PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology by the San Raffaele (DIBIT) Scientific Institute, she made her postdoctoral fellow at The Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla in USA, from 2006 to 2009 was a researcher Miguel Servet (Instituto de Salud Carlos III, Spain) in the center of Regenerative Medicine in Barcelona, Spain. Since 2010, she is the director of the laboratory of Stem Cells and Neuroplasticity at the Institute of Biomedicine at the Universidad de Barcelona (IBUB). The overall objective of the laboratory is to use emerging technologies in working with stem cells in order to gain a better understanding of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease.
