PhD in Cellular Biology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Bachelor Degree in Biology at the Universidad de Chile. Founder and President of the Fundación Ciencia & Vida, academic of the PhD Program in Biotechnology at the Universidad Andres Bello, and director of several companies and non-profit institutions, such as Comunidad Mujer and Fundación Chile. Also, she was a member (between 2006 and 2010) of the National Innovation Council for Competitiveness, convened by President Michelle Bachelet during her first presidential term.
