Agricultural Engineer from the Universidad Austral de Chile and Master in Science from the University of Reading, England. Chief Researcher of the Program of Irrigation Prairies at the Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (INIA) and Manager of the Program for Potato Genetic improvement  in central Chile. Sub Regional Director of Technology Transfer and Director of the Department of Plant Production of La Platina Regional Research Centre. Director of research and TT with public and private funding. Professor and Director of Thesis for undergraduate and graduate students of the Universidad de Chile, Universidad Católica and Universidad Mayor. Currently, he is Technical Secretary of the National Directorate of INIA.
