Vicenç Navarro
Professor of Political and Social Sciences at the Universidad Pompeu Fabra and academic at The Johns Hopkins University

PHD in Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University and Bachelor Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Universidad of Barcelona, he also studied Political Economy in Sweden and Public and Social Policy at the London School of Economics, England. He is currently professor of Political and Social Sciences at the Universidad Pompeu Fabra and academic at The Johns Hopkins University, USA. He has been an advisor to the United Nations, the World Health Organization and former adviser of governments like the Popular Unity in Chile, the Cuban government (health care reform), the Swedish Social Democratic government, the Spanish socialist government, tripartite governments and “d’Entesa” Catalans, as well as the US federal government, as a member of the working group on White House health reform directed by Hillary Clinton. He has written 25 books (some of them translated into Spanish, French, German, Swedish, Japanese and Chinese) and more than 400 scientific articles.
